Life in Lakeside - Fall Gardening

Since I live in San Diego, the weather is mild which means that it is possible to have a garden growing year round. Back in October 2014 I decided I’d like to try growing a garden so I found some vegetables that should do well in cooler, wetter weather. I drafted my husband and son to help in getting lumber for a raised garden bed and to build it for me. Fortunately, they kindly agreed to help out and about two weeks later I had a new garden bed.

New Beginnings

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has had a pleasant start for 2015. Our weather has been wintry, for San Diego, and it has been nice to have a few days off to rest up and prepare for all of the various projects I want to work on.

Places in Wyoming featured in "Doing the E.T. Tango" - Cody, Wyoming

In the novel Doing the E.T. Tango: Dancing with the Universe, there are several visits to Cody, Wyoming. Cody is a popular destination for tourists and local residents because of the larger stores, restaurants and spots of interest. It is one of the largest towns in the Big Horn Basin and is within 1-2 hour drive of the other small towns in the area. This makes it a convenient place to go and shop for items that can be obtained in the smaller locations.
