John has published several articles in computer magazines and has a book entitled “Dancing with the Universe” available at Amazon. He co-authored a book about autism with his wife Tamara entitled “You Don’t Want to Go For a Drive.”, also available at Amazon. His hobbies include writing, playing the piano, and photography.
John M. Harpster was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Arlington. He served in the United States Navy as a photographer at the Naval Air Station in Rota Spain after attending boot camp and the Navy photography school. Upon his release from the Navy he went to the University of California at Northridge where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. His first job was as a software engineer at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas where he met Tamara Stensland, also a software engineer. They married in Dallas, Texas.
